Process
This was my first project for my 3d Game Design class at CGCC. It involved crafting a base model and then making template files for that model. We would then take the template file out into Photoshop and add our elements to fill the space on the object. We did each part separately at first but put them all together into one scene. The background is a random stock image of a background that we used as our backdrop in 3ds Max. It has been some years so the process is a bit fuzzy but I remember mapping the templates onto the objects, then adjusting the camera and lighting to make the objects look like they fit into the scene. As a first attempt at this process, I think this turned out well. I could have lined up the background a bit better but the shadows look believable enough for you to think they are in the scene upon a first glance. Of course, I could have used less pop culture-inspired things in the objects but, it made me really happy to put all the graffiti of my favorite things in my school project as we had been given limited freedom in most other areas of the class.
